Don Hazelton passes at 83

Former Director of the Florida State Boxing Commission Don Hazelton passed away yesterday morning in Tallahassee at the age of 83. Hazelton led the Florida commission for nine years, then headed the Miccosukee Indian Athletic Commission for twelve years. He was also a past president of the Association of Boxing Commissions. Hazelton was inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame in 2010. In addition to his leadership in boxing, Don served four terms in the Florida House of Representatives.
