Former IBF/IBO flyweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire, Jr. opened up his workout to media and fans today at the Undisputed Boxing Gym in San Carlos, California (about 20 miles south of San Francisco). “My weight is good, I feel strong,” said Donaire. “After I fight Rafael Concepcion, I’m looking for Arce and Montiel. That’s who I want in the ring next.” Donaire (21-1, 14 KOs), from San Leandro, Calif. by way of General Santos City, Philippines, is training for his upcoming challenge of former world champion Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion (13-3-1, 8 KOs), of Panama City, Panama, for the vacant WBA interim super flyweight title. The Donaire-Concepcion rumble headlines Top Rank’s “Pinoy Power 2″ — the world championship pay-per-view extravaganza on August 15th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
