Donovan George opponent named: Troy Lowry

An opponent has been named for popular Chicago super middleweight Donovan “Da Bomb” George for his return to the ring on Friday, April 18 at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana. World ranked contender George (24-4-2, 21 KOs) will face off against veteran Troy Lowry (28-13, 17 KOs) in an eight rounder. Long a fan favorite over his nine-year career, George has never lost in his native Chicago.

In the co-feature hot light heavyweight prospect “Hollywood” Mike Jimenez (13-0, 10 KOs) will look to stay undefeated against Brandon “EL Cubanito” Gonzalez (12-12-4, 6 KOs) in a scheduled six round tilt.

“These are the two most popular fighters in Chicago and with our anticipated huge crowd, local fight fans should expect an excellent night of action,” said Bobby Hitz, now in his 25th year of promoting in Chicago. “With tickets starting at just $25, this is an excellent value for the sports fans dollar.”

In a special attraction, world ranked Russian heavyweight Andrey Fedosov (24-3, 19 KOs) will also make his highly anticipated return to the Horseshoe Casino. Also included on the card in separate bouts are numerous Chicago fan favorites and top prospects including undefeated cruiserweight Dimar “Strongman Ortuz (9-0, 6 KOs), welterweight Roy Navarro (5-1, 3 KOs) of Chicago, junior welterweights Antonio “Aztec God of War” Canas (9-1-1, 3 KOs) and Eddie Ramirez (3-0, 3 KOs) of Aurora.

Advance tickets starting at $25.00 for “FIGHT NIGHT” are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, The Venue/Horseshoe Box Office and Doors open on the night of the event at 7:00 p.m. CT with the first bell at 7:30 p.m. CT.
