Iván Rivera: “We are just days away from what many fans of boxing are looking forward to seeing in two young, exciting, and unbeaten fighters facing off for a world title. This fight will also continue the growth of boxing’s newest and exciting rivalry developing between Filipino and Puerto Rican fighters.”

Wilfredo Vázquez Jr.: “I am 100% mentally and Physically prepared for this fight. Sonsona is going to find out that he made a mistake in fighting me. I will box intelligently but If I connect with a solid punch the fight is going to be over.”

Marvin Sonsona: “Moving up from 115 to 122 pounds I feel much stronger and I am punching much harder. I have what it takes to defeat Vázquez. I feel that I am more experienced than he is. This Saturday night I will put my skills on display and win the world title.”

Also featured on the televised card will be unbeaten 6’6″ cruiserweight giant Carlos Negron of Puerto Rico (7-0, 5 KOs) vs. Roy Ashworth, prospect Jonathan Oquendo (17-2, 11 KOs) of Puerto Rico will meet Mexican José Ángel Beranza (32-16-2, 25 KOs) in a bout for the WBO Latino junior featherweight title, and the debut of the dynamic duo, Puerto Rico twins McJoe and McWilliams Arroyo.
