Friday night’s card at the Rollins Center in Dover Downs Hotel & Casino has officially sold out, according to public relations specialist Lisa Butler. The main event will feature Mike “No Joke” Stewart (46-7-2, 24 KO) continuing his comeback against David “El Torrito” Torres (21-2-1, 13 KOs) in a ten round bout for the vacant NABA light welterweight title. Stewart has won four straight since taking more than a year off following a decision loss to Robert Frankel in 2007. In the co-feature, Amir “Hardcore” Mansour (11-0, 8 KOs) takes on Alexis Mejias (11-6, 5 KOs) in an eight round heavyweight bout. Mansour scored two eye-catching KOs in his previous two fights at the Rollins Center.
Other bouts:
“Mighty” Mike Tiberi (15-1, 7 KOs) faces Eloy “El Prieto” Suarez (11-9-1, 5 KOs) in an eight round super middleweight bout. Tiberi, 22, is unbeaten in five fights here, and will be appearing in his first scheduled eight rounder.
Scott “Cujo” Sigmon (14-2, 6 KOs) takes on Miguel “Macho” Hernandez (20-11, 10 KOs) in an eight round super middleweight bout.
Dan “Bada Bing” Biddle (5-1, 4 KOs) will meet Kenneth Farr (0-4) in a four round cruiserweight bout. Always entertaining and never in a dull fight, Biddle has won all three of his previous fights at the Rollins Center.
“Queen” Ronica Jeffreys (4-0, 1 KO) will be making her third appearance at the venue when she takes on Carla Torres (1-0) in a four round lightweight bout.
Reuel Williams (6-1, 2 KOs) and Anthony Caputo Smith (8-0, 6 KOs) are scheduled to appear in separate four round light heavyweight bouts against opponents to be determined.
The first bout will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
