Dunn stops Oti

Unbeaten Australian super middleweight Zac Dunn (9-0, 8 KOs) was impressive in stopping New Zealand’s Lee Oti (17-14-1, 8 KOs) in five rounds of a scheduled twelve at the Hungarian Community Centre, Wantirna, Victoria, Australia on Friday. Dunn dropped Oti in round one and twice in round five at which point referee Tony Maretta crowned Dunn who captured the interim PABA title.

Dunn is matched to fight Mirko Manquecoy (5-3-1,1KO) of Chile for the vacant WBC Youth super middleweight title on September 21 at the Croxton hotel, Thornbury, Victoria. He is managed and promoted by Murray Thomson.

In the main supporting contest over six rounds, light middleweight Ben Capps (6-1-1, 2 KOs) outscored Khoder Assi (2-1,1KO) . Scores 59-57, 58-56, 59-56.

Also heavyweight Craig Vitale (3-0, 1 KO) outpointed Michael Cornellius (2-1, 1 KO) over four rounds. Scores 39-37, 40-37, 39-37.

In other action, light heavyweight Korobo Etto (1-0) outpointed Jake Gathercole (0-2) by scores 40-37, 40-36, 40-36.
