By Alexey Potapov

Unbeaten WBO light middleweight world champion Sergiy Dzinziruk has informed thay he will return to the ring in April. “I talked to the promoters concerning the next fight,” he said. “They’ve informed me that the fight will take place in April in Germany. The challenger is still unknown.” There were discussions for a fight between Dzinziruk and interim titleholder Paul Williams, but they did not come to fruition. Dzinziruk he’s ready to fight, but the Williams camp made unrealistic demands. Williams will instead fight Ronald ‘Winky’ Wright on April 11th at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. “Who will win this fight? Very much a question at issue. I expect good and entertaining fight, but nevertheless I will pick Ronald Wright. He has more experience,” predicted the champion.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
