![]() Gonzales, Reyes victorious By Rick Scharmberg at ringside Unbeaten middleweight Brandon “Flawless” Gonzales (15-0-1, 10 KOs) escaped with a split decision win over veteran Ossie “The Ghanaian Gladiator” Duran (26-9-2, 10 KOs) on Friday night at Bally’s Grand Ballroom in Atlantic City. Duran seemingly outworked Gonzales, but Gonzales, who was far from flawless, prevailed on two cards by scores of 77-75, 77-75, while Duran was up 78-74 on the third card. In a good action fight, welterweight Artemio “King” Reyes (14-1, 11 KOs) pounded out an upset eight round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten 2008 Olympian Javier “El Intocable” Molina (9-1, 4 KOs).
