Former world champion Jorge Arce (56-6-2, 43 KOs) scored a first round TKO over Adolfo Ramos (16-11-1, 10 KOs) on Saturday night at the Estadio 20 de Noviembre in Campeche, Mexico. Arce floored Ramos early with a right to the head and got the stoppage with his follow up barrage. Time was 2:06. Arce is now looking for a shot at WBO super bantamweight champ Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in 2011.
WBO light flyweight interim champion Ramon Garcia (15-1-1, 8 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Omar Soto (15-7-1, 6 KOs). Garcia scored knockdowns in rounds four and ten en route to a 120-106, 119-107, 118-108.
In a clash of super featherweight contenders, Jorge Lacierva (38-7-6, 26 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Joksan Hernandez (21-3, 14 KOs). Lacierva dropped Hernandez three times in round one and again in the fourth, but the bout went the full ten. No scores were announced.
“Son of the Legend” Omar “Businessman” Chavez (21-0-1, 18 KOs) stayed unbeaten with a second round stoppage of Ignasi Caballero (5-3, 5 KOs).December 19th, 2010
