Unbeaten jr middleweight Shawn Porter (13-0, 10 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Russell Jordan (15-7, 10 KOs) on Friday night at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The gangly 6’2 lefty Russell presented some problems for the 7″ shorter Porter, and the hometown hero had to work hard all night to get the win. Russell was deducted a point by referee Randy Jarvis in round nine for losing his mouthpiece. Scores were 97-92, 97-92, and a ludicrous 100-89.
Unbeaten junior welterweight Lanard Lane (11-0, 7 KOs) pounded out a clear-cut eight round unanimous decision over game Martin Tucker (7-5, 3 KOs). Scores were 77-75, 78-74, 80-71.
