McEwan outpoints Vera!

Unbeaten super middleweight Craig McEwan (15-0, 9 KOs) pounded out a ten round unanimous decision over “The Contender’s” Brian Vera (16-3, 10 KOs) on Friday night outdoors at Sunset Square in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. McEwan was in command most of the way as he compiled a 97-93, 97-93, 97-93 win.

In a battle of unbeaten lightweights, unbeaten former amateur star Adrien Broner (9-0, 6 KOs) won a workmanlike majority decision over Fernando Quintero (7-1-1). Scores were 76-76, 77-75 and 78-74.

Welterweight prospect Charles Hatley (3-0, 3 KOs) needed just 55 seconds to annihilate Carlos Garcia (3-4-1, 3 KOs). The overmatched Garcia was down twice.
