WBO cruiserweight Marco Huck (34-1, 25 KOs) scored a six round beatdown of Rogelio Rossi (17-3-1, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Ludwigsburg Arena in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Southpaw Rossi was deducted a point for a low blow in round three. Huck was credited with a knockdown later in the same round. Huck dropped Rossi with a punch after the bell in round four and was deducted two points by referee Paul Thomas. Huck went right after Rossi in the fifth and dropped Rossi again. Rossi was down for the second time in the round from a body shot before the bell. Huck laid him out in the sixth with a huge right hand to end it. No time was given. Rossi was down for an extended time and a stretcher was brought to the ring, but Rossi appeared to be OK.
Unbeaten middleweight Dominik Britsch (26-0, 9 KOs) scored a hard fought twelve round majority decision over scrappy former world title challenger Billy Lyell (24-10, 5 KOs). Lyell was the aggressor and outworked Britsch over much of the fight, but Britsch’s flurries resonated with the judges in a 114-114, 117-111, 116-113 verdict.
Unbeaten heavyweight Kubrat Pulev (14-0, 6 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over game Travis Walker (38-7-1, 30 KOs) in a clash for the vacant IBF International heavyweight title. Pulov built up a lead as Walker slowed down. Walker was unlucky as a punch cut Pulov over the right eye in round seven, but was mistakenly ruled as an unintentional headbutt by referee Allan Huggins. By the eighth Walker seemed completely gassed. Walker had little left in the ninth and was deducted a point for losing his mouthpiece. Walker barely made it back to his corner after round eleven and somehow made it through the twelfth, as well. Scores were 119-109, 118, 109, 117-110.
Former world title challenger Enad Licina (21-3, 11 KOs) outpointed Hari Miles (6-4, 2 KOs) over eight by scores of 78-74, 79-73, 79-76.
Unbeaten middleweight Marcos Nader (13-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Lorenzo Cosseddu (27-7-5, 3 KOs) over eight.
Light heavyweight Robert Woge (6-0, 5 KOs) stopped John Waldron (5-6, 2 KOs) in round two.
