In a good action bout, unbeaten super welterweight contender Vanes Martirosyan (27-0, 17 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over former world champion Kassim Ouma (26-7, 18 KOs) on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas. It was Martirosyan’s best performance to date as he sharply landed flush shots against the ever advancing Ouma in every round. Ouma scored a flash knockdown in round nine, and picked up the pace after round six, but it was too little too late. Martirosyan prevailed by scores of 97-92, 97-93, 97-93 to retain his NABF/NABO belts. The bout headlined the debut telecast of the new “Top Rank LIVE” boxing series seen on Fox Sports Net/Fox Sports Espanol.
Unbeaten super featherweight Diego Magdaleno (13-0, 3 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Gerardo Robles (9-9, 2 KOs). Scores were 78-74, 78-74, 80-72.
In his pro debut, super lightweight amateur star Jose Benavidez (1-0, 1 KO) blitzed Steven Cox (1-1, 1 KO) in just 1:21 of round one.

In off-TV bouts, cruiserweight Ismayl Sillakh (10-0, 9 KOs) took out reluctant Julius Jackson (3-6) in just 1:27. In the walkout bout, Las Vegas super lightweight Anthony Lenk (6-1, 3 KOs) outboxed Dusten Guillemin (3-5, 1 KO) en route to a unanimous decision with scores of 58-56 and 59-55 twice.
