Rodela edges Garcia!

Lightweight David Rodela (13-1-3, 6 KOs) won a six round split decision over Juan Garcia (14-3, 5 KOs) on Thursday night at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. In a wild fight, Rodela was staggered in round three, but came back to nearly drop Garcia in round four. In the end, judges had it 59-55, 59-55 for Rodela, 57-56 Garcia.

Unbeaten lightweight Luis Ramos (11-0, 6 KOs) from Team Espinoza KO’d veteran Baudel Cardenas (18-17-2, 6 KOs) in the fifth round. Ramos floored Cardenas with a body shot in round one and leveled him with a flush right to the jaw in round five. Time was 2:26.

Undefeated local featherweight Charles Huerta (11-0, 6 KOs) scored an impressive third round KO over previously unbeaten Noe Lopez Jr (4-1, 3 KOs). Huerta dropped Lopez three times in round three. Time was 1:02.
