WBA interim super featherweight champion Jorge “Coloradito” Solis (39-2-2, 28 KOs) outboxed Mario Santiago (21-3-1, 14 KOs) over twelve one-sided rounds. Scores were 119-108, 118-109, 118-109.

In a good action WBA lightweight eliminator, WBA #3 Urbano Antillon (27-1, 20 KOs) pounded out a ten round unanimous decision over #2 rated super featherweight Rene Gonzalez (27-1-1, 21 KOs). After a spirited first stanza, Antillon dropped Gonzalez at the end of the round. Excellent two-way action in rounds two-six. Antillon was credited with another knockdown in the seventh (it was more of a slip), and went on to win by scores of 100-90, 99-91, 99-91.

Unbeaten featherweight prospect “Mikey” Garcia (22-0, 18 KOs) had his toughest fight to date against rugged Pedro Navarrete (24-8-3, 13 KOs), winning an eight round unanimous decision. Scores were 77-75, 79-75, 78-74.

Unbeaten super lightweight Jose Benavidez (5-0, 5 KOs) blew away Arnaldo Pecheco (2-4) in round one. After Benavidez fired a body shot late in first round, Pacheco went down, tried to get up but went down again and the referee waved off the fight. Time of the stoppage was 1:43.

Featherweight Marlon Aguilar (24-9-1, 17 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Michael Farenas (26-3-3, 23 KOs). No scoring announced. Farenas penalized for low blow in last round.
