Junior welterweight prospect Patrick “El Elegante” Lopez (17-2, 11 KOs) took a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Sergio “Pollero” Rivera (14-4-2, 10 KOs) on Friday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California. Lopez was simply too strong and too quick as he compiled a shutout 80-72 win on all three cards.

Welterweights Pavel Miranda (18-4-1, 10 KOs) and Vardan Gasparyan (11-2-5, 5 KOs) fought to a well-fought six round majority decision draw. Both fighters had their moments in the spirited contest. Scores were 58-56 for Gasparyan, while the other judges had it 57-57.

Lightweight Hector Serrano remained unbeaten with a six round unanimous decision over trialhorse Jaime Orrantia (11-25-5, 3 KOs). Serrano (10-0, 3 KOs) won by scores of 60-54, 60-54, and 59-55.

Super Welterweight Alberto Herrera (6-0, 5 KOs) stopped Jesus Vallejo (3-2, 3 KOs) in the second of a scheduled six round bout. Referee Dr. Lou Moret stopped the bout at 1:06 against the protests of Vallejo.
