Kim stops Harris in 5th

Heavy-handed lightweight Ji-Hoon Kim (20-5, 17 KOs) scored a fifth round TKO over Tyrone Harris (24-6, 16 KOs) on Friday night at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. Harris got off to a good start, but as the bout progressed the relentless Kim began to punish Harris, flooring him in round five and getting the stoppage moments later. Harris complained that the stoppage of referee Wayne Hedgepeth was too early. Time was 1:52.

Unbeaten junior welterweight Ruslan Provodnikov (14-0, 9 KOs) stopped former IBF lightweight champion Javier Juaregui (53-17-2, 36 KOs) in round eight. Referee Jack Reiss stopped the fight with Provodnikov battering Juaregui on the ropes. Time was 2:10.

Unbeaten light heavyweight Maxim Vlasov (16-0, 7 KOs) scored an easy first round KO over Julius Fogle (15-2, 10 KOs). Time was 2:42.

Welterweight Dashon Johnson (9-2-2, 3 KOs) scored a third round KO over Sergio Macias (14-20-1, 6 KOs). Time was 1:52.

Featherweight Gabriel Tolmajyan (7-1) stopped late sub Anthony Martinez at 2:14 of round four.
