McEwan gets by Perez

Unbeaten middleweight Craig McEwan (18-0, 7 KOs) won a hard fought majority decision former welterweight title challenger Danny Perez (34-7, 17 KOs) in a good action fight on Friday night at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. Scores were 97-93, 97-93, 95-95.

Featherweight Charles Huerta (14-1, 8 KOs) scored a sixth round KO over Jonathan Arias (15-6, 8 KOs). Heurta dropped Arias in round one and twice in round six. Time was 1:40.

Cerresso Fort (10-0, 8 KO’s) won a one-sided four round unanimous decision over Steve Macomber (3-9-1). Very few highlights as Fort was busier, but wild at times with his punches. All three judges scored the bout 40-36 in favor of Fort.

Welterweight Anthony Martinez (4-0, 4 KO’s) needed only 37 seconds to stop Nicholaus Brannies in their scheduled four round bout. A left hook to the body of Brannies (1-6) dropped him to the canvas. Referee Tony Crebs counted Brannies out.
