Hopkins outpoints Ornelas

Former world champion Bernard Hopkins (50-5, 32 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Enrique Ornelas (29-6, 19 KOs) in a light heavyweight bout on Wednesday night at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. It was a typical Hopkins performance with lots of clinching as the nifty 44-year-old won the in-fighting and wore out his opponent. Scores were 118-110, 120-109, 119-109.
Unbeaten junior welterweight Danny Garcia (15-0, 10 KOs) scored a brutal second round KO over Enrique Colin (23-5-3, 19 KOs). Garcia dropped Colin at the end of round one, and finished him in the following stanza. Time was :55.
In an upset, Guadalupe De Leon (8-9, 4 KOs) won a four round split decision over previously unbeaten Derrick Wilson (5-1-1, 2 KOs). Scores were 39-37, 39-37 De Leon, 39-37 Wilson.
