Former two-time lightweight champion Julio Diaz (37-6, 26 KOs) showed he still has it by winning a ten round unanimous decision over Herman Ngoudjo (18-4, 10 KOs) in a junior welterweight bout on Friday night at the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, NV. Scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 99-91. Having lost his last two fights, against Victor Cayo (7-31-2009) and Rolando Reyes (4-4-2009), Julio Diaz is seeking redemption in 2010 and beating a recognized name like Ngoudjo is a good start.

Junior lightweight Dominic Salcido (18-2, 9 KOs) scored an eight round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Guillermo Sanchez (11-1, 5 KOs). Scores were 77-75, 78-74, 77-75.

Undefeated Russian prospect Ravshan Hudaynazarov decimated Gerardo Prieto (6-10-1) in the second round with a thudding left hook to the body as he earned his 10th knockout victory and improved to 12-0 in a scheduled six round welterweight bout.Time of stoppage was 2:20.

Arman Sargsyan (14-0) remained undefeated as he easily outpointed Leo Martinez (15-13) en route to a unanimous decision victory in their 8 round lightweight bout. A highly entertaining welterweight bout between Julio Luna (4-1) and Freddie Cisneros (1-2-1) was cut short – literally – when a clash of heads opened a nasty gash over Cisneros eye and forced the bout to be waved off and ruled a no decision at :53 in the 3rd round.
—–
Unbeaten super featherweight Ivan Redkach earned his 4th knockout victory in as many fights as he stopped Theron DeLorme (1-1-1) with a 3rd round TKO. Redkach scored two knockdowns in the third round with the second ending DeLorme’s night. Time of stoppage was 2:04.
—–
Super middleweights Mike Guy and Carlos Gaytan battled to a four round draw. Guy (2-0-1) controlled both the first and the fourth rounds while Gaytan (1-0-1) easily took the 2nd and 3rd rounds as all three judges saw the fight 38-38.
