Cuban rising stars Yuriorkis Gamboa, Odlanier Solis and Erislandy Lara were all victorious on Friday night at Terrible’s Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, Nevada. Unbeaten WBC #2, WBA #3, WBO #6, IBF #8 featherweight Yuriorkis Gamboa (13-0, 11 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over Roger “Speedy” Gonzalez (27-3, 18 KOs). Gonzalez briefly dropped Gamboa in round two, but the knockdown only served to wake up the heavy-handed Gamboa, who was right back on the offensive and dominated the bout until referee Robert Byrd rather suddenly stopped the bout with :48 remaining in the final stanza. Gamboa’s, who was a 2004 Olympic gold medalist, is expected to fight for the WBC interim featherweight championship in his next bout.

Time was 2:00.
