Manager Shelly Finkel confirmed that Guerrero will be challenging IBF junior lightweight champion Malcolm Klassen on August 22, 2009, from Houston, Texas on HBO. Klassen, fighting out of South Africa, has a record of 24-4-2, 14 KOs.
Unbeaten heavyweight Ashanti Jordan (10-0, 7 KOs) lumbered to a six round majority decision over Andrae Carthron (2-2-1, 1 KO). Scores were 59-55, 59-55, 57-57.
Unbeaten junior welterweight Danny Garcia (13-0, 8 KOs) scored a second round knockout over Pavel Miranda (18-4, 10 KOs). Garcia knocked down Miranda twice before the bout was stopped at :56 of the second.
