Lebedev destroys Alekseev

In an important WBO cruiserweight eliminator, #1 rated Denis Lebedev (21-0, 16 KOs) scored an explosive second round KO over #2 rated Alexander Alexeev (19-2, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at the Sport- Und Kongresshall in Schwerin, Germany. After taking the fight to Alekseev in round one, the aggressive Lebedev connected with a crushing straight left that finished Alekseev. The former Olympian and amateur world champion was extremely disoriented as he struggled to get back on his feet. Time was 2:43. Lebedev is now mandatory challenger for WBO champion Marco Huck.

The fight between WBO/WBA/WIBF flyweight champion Susi Kentikian (27-0, 16 KOs) and Arely Mucino (11-0-1, 6 KOs) ended in a third round technical draw after the “Killer Queen” suffered a bad cut on her hairline after an unintentional head clash. Kentikian keeps her world titles.

Heavyweight Mariusz Wach (22-0, 10 KOs) scored a sudden sixth round KO Over Christian Hammer (7-2, 4 KOs). It was a tactical fight until the 6’7 Wach laid out Hammer flat on his back with a big right hand.
Unbeaten super featherweight Marcel Meyerdiercks (17-0, 5 KOs) scored a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Hermin Isava (9-6, 5 KOs). Scores were 80-71, 79-71, 80-72.
WBO #7 super middleweight contender Eddy Gutknecht (19-1, 8 KOs) won by TKO when Michal Bilak (19-14, 10 KOs) couldn’t come out for round three. The bout was fought in the light heavyweight division.
Light heavyweight Vikapita Meroro (19-1, 8 KOs) easily outpointed Jevgenijs Andrejevs (9-32, 1 KO) over six by scores 60-54, 60-54, 59-55.
