Klimov derails Molina title hopes

Undefeated lightweight Andrey Klimov (16-0, 8 KOs) scored an upset ten round majority decision over former world title challenger and WBO #4 rated John Molina Jr. (25-3, 20 KOs) on Friday night at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, Washington. Molina pressed the action and landed the harder punches by judges preferred the workrate of the lighter punching Klimov. Scores were 97-93 and 96-94 for Klimov and 95-95.

Super Middleweight Farah “Quiet Storm” Ennis (21-1, 12 KOs) dropped Tony “The Tyger” Hanshaw (23-3-2, 14 KOs) in the final round to punctuate a close ten round unanimous decision. Scores were 95-94, 96-93, 96-93.

Lightweight Ray Lampkin Jr. (4-0, 1 KO) outpointed Joaquin Chavez (4-7-2, 2 KOs) over four rounds by a score of 40-36 across the board. Lampkin is the son of former boxing contender of the 70s, Ray Lampkin.
