Light heavyweight contender Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy (25-2, 17 KOs) won a close ten round majority decision over Otis Griffin (19-5-2, 7 KOs) on Friday night at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida. It was a competitive fight throughout with former IBF super middleweight champion Lacy winning by scores of 95-95, 96-94, 97-93. After the bout, Lacy called out Roy Jones Jr., who was in attendance.

Heavyweight Lenroy Thomas (11-2, 8 KOs) dropped Wes Taylor (7-13-1, 7 KOs) at the end of round one and finished him at 1:16 of round two.

Light heavyweight Roberto Failey (2-0-1, 1 KO) took an uneventful four round split decision over Adam Jaco (5-3-1, 1 KO) by scores of 38-37, 38-37, 37-38. Jaco was deducted a point in round four for hitting after the break, which ultimately cost him dearly.

Unbeaten jr lightweights Kermit Gonzalez (6-0-2, 3 KO’s) and Derrick Wilson (4-0-1, 1 KO) battled to a four round draw. Scores were 38-38 on all cards.
