Harris-Bolanos no contest

A junior welterweight bout between former world champion Vivian “Vicious” Harris (29-3-1, 19 KOs) and Noe “Platanito” Bolanos (20-4-1, 11 KOs) ended in a no decision on Friday night at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona. Harris became disoriented and collapsed moments after a hard accidental headclash :40 into round two. Medical personal rushed into the ring to attend to the fallen fighter. Harris was clearly conscious as he was taken from the ring on a stretcher and was later seen sitting up in the dressing room. The ring doctor said Harris will be taken to the hospital for observation.
The United States’ only boxing medalist from the 2008 Olympics, Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (7-0, 7 KOs) easily blitzed Travis Allen (3-5, 3 KOs) scoring a first round KO in a heavyweight clash. Allen was down twice before the bout was halted.
Unbeaten junior middleweight Keith “One Time” Thurman (10-0, 10 KOs) dropped Travis Hartman (10-14-1, 7 KOs) twice in round one and Hartman’s corner threw in the towel after Thurman continued the punishment in round two.
Heavyweight Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell (13-0-1, 8 KOs), a former stand-out linebacker at Michigan State University, won a first round KO over Andrae Carthron (3-3-2, 1 KO). A big right hand ended it at 2:36.
