Guerrero demolishes Archer

Unbeaten super middleweight star Fernando Guerrero (15-0, 13 KOs) massacred Chris Archer (11-9, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at Fitzgerald’s Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi. Guerrero battered Archer from the opening bell, flooring Archer with body shots in both rounds one and two. Guerrero sent Archer down again in the third with a further body assault and referee Randy Phillips waved it off moments later. Time was 2:15.
Unbeaten jr middleweight Shawn Porter (10-0, 8 KOs) demolished Lamar Harris (6-3, 4 KOs), dropping Harris three times before the bout was stopped at 2:18 of round one.
Unbeaten middleweight Dominic Wade (4-0, 4 KOs) blitzed Tyrone Dowdy (4-20, 3 KOs) in less than a round. Dowdy’s corner threw in the towel just as he was floored after 2:25 of punishment.
In his first fight under the Prize Fight Boxing banner, heavyweight Chazz Witherspoon (26-1, 18 KOs) annihilated late sub Willie Perryman (10-20, 7 KOs). In round two, Witherspoon dropped Perryman, got a standing eight round in his follow up barrage, then dropped Perryman again to end it. Time was 2:09.
In his professional debut, former amateur standout Mike Wilson (1-0) destroyed “Marvelous” Marvin Hunt (12-24-1, 5 KOs) with a huge right hand at 1:59 in round one of a heavyweight bout.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
