Rojas retains WBC 115 title

WBC interim super flyweight champion Tomás “Gusano” Rojas (32-11-1, 22 KOs) retained his title via unanimous twelve round decision against previously unbeaten Evans Mbamba (16-1, 8 KOs) at the World Trade Center in Veracruz, Mexico. Scores were 117-109, 117-109 and 119-108. Rojas is now in line to face Vic Darchinyan for the full WBC title on December 12 in Rancho Mirage, California.

Featherweight Rafael “Chocho” Guzman (23-1, 16 KOs) won a close six round unanimous decision over Guadalupe “Lupillo” Hernández (15-21-1, 4 KOs). Scores were 57-56, 58-56 and 57-56.
Jr flyweight Adrián “Confesor” Hernández moved to 16-1-1 with 11 KOs after a unanimous six round decision over veteran Paulino Villalobos (27-40-2, 16 KOs).
