Egberime wins Aussie 147 belt!

Australian based Nigerian Solomon Egberime (19-2, 10 KOs) captured the vacant Australian welterweight crown by stopping Mick Shaw (27-10-3, 8 KOs) in five rounds at the Bronco’s Leagues Club, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Friday. Egberime started his professional career in Australia in 2000 and first won the Australian welterweight title in 2002 by defeating Eddie Delic by twelve round decision. He scored a ten round stoppage over Jamie Crampton in 2003 and also stopped Gary Comer in nine rounds in 2002. Egberime defeated world rated Ernie Artango on points over eight in 2002 but dropped a ten round decision to former IBF world title challenger Naoufel Ben Rabah. Promoter Angelo Di Carlo.
