WBC #10 featherweight Eduardo “Canilla” Escobedo (27-3, 19 KOs) moves up a division takes on Aritides Pérez (18-1, 10 KOs) for the WBC super featherweight silver belt on Saturday at Centenario Stadium in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. “The fans will see a good fight,” stated Escobedo, who is trained by the famed Nacho Beristain. “I think it’ll end by knockout and I’ll be the winner.”
In the co-main event, former WBA featherweight world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (21-1-1, 15 KOs) returns against Guadalupe “Bronco” Rosales (28-5, 16 KOs) in a lightweight ten-rounder. It will be Salgado’s first fight since losing his world crown to Takasi Uchiyama in January.
Also featured on the Arce Promotions card are super welters Edgar Ruiz (20-7, 12 KOs) and Bladimir Hernandez (18-3, 16 KOs) collide in a twelve rounder for the WBC Latino belt, female lightflys Katia Gutierrez (9-1, 3 KOs) and Jessica “Kika”Chavez (8-2, 2 KOs) meet in an eight rounder and a rematch between superflys Juan Carlos “Zurdito” Sanchez Jr. (10-1, 8 KOs) and Carlos “Relampago” Jacobo (7-3, 5 KOs).
