Super featherweight Eduardo Escobedo (28-3, 20 KOs) won a fifth round technical decision over Arístides Pérez (17-1, 10 KOs) to claim the WBC silver belt on Saturday night at the Estadio de Futbol Centenario in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. On the undercard, former WBA 130lb champion Juan Carlos Salgado (22-1-1, 16 KOs) won by fourth round TKO over Guadalupe “Bronco” Rosales (28-6, 16 KOs) who couldn’t continue after suffering a knee injury in round four.
Welterweight Edgar “Dandy” Ruiz (21-7-1, 13 KOs) won by ninth round TKO over Antonio “Muñeco” Aarre.
Meanwhile in Mazatlan, jr middleweight Michel Rosales (28-3, 23 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Amilcar Melian (22-9, 17 KOs).
