Former WBA Light heavyweight champion Hugo Garay (33-5, 18 KOs) of Argentina got back into the win column in a big way crushing Marcelo Leandro Da Silva of Brazil (19-3, 14 KOs) by way of first round knockout. Literally seconds after the fighters touched gloves in an act of sportsmanship to start the fight Garay landed a solid right to the chin of Da Silva sending him crashing to the canvas where he was counted out. The official time of the bout was just 15 seconds. Garay entered the bout off of back to back losses to Chris Henry and Gabriel Campillo to whom he lost his world title in 2009.
In the main event of the evening WBA & WBO female light flyweight champion Yessica Bopp (13-0, 5 KOs) of Argentina retained her titles with a unanimous decision victory over Ana Arrazola (17-5-3, 15 KOs) of Mexico. Bopp gave up a major height advantage to Arrazola but was able to dominate easily from the outside and inside all night long. Each round seemed to be a reptition of the other as Bopp won both the offensive and defensive battles throughout the contest. The official judges scores were 100-90,100-89, and 100-89 all in favor of Bopp.
The event took place at the Club Deportivo Libertad, Sunchales, in Santa Fe, Argentina. Osvaldo Rivero promoted the event.
