Still undefeated 41-year-old former WBO jr middleweight and middleweight champion Harry Simon (28-0, 21 KOs) returned Saturday night to obliterate Zoltan Kiss Jr (28-15-3, 12 KOs) in two rounds at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino in Windhoek, Namibia. Simon hurt Kiss in round one and dropped him twice in round two before the bout was waved off. Simon is expected to return July 27 for an IBF International title fight against TBA.
A boxing icon in Namibia, Simon lost his title and had his career derailed when an auto accident in 2002 left him badly injured and three tourists dead. He eventually spent two years in prison due to the incident for “culpable homicide.” Since 2002, Simon fought once in 2007, twice in 2010 and once in 2012. This was his first bout in over a year.
