One result from K2 East card in Dnepropetrovsk wasn’t reported yesterday for technical reasons. Ex-WBA welterweight champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (29-1-1, 14 KOs) erased his recent disappointing memories with the fifth-round TKO over Uzbek underdog Mamasoli Kimsanbayev (11-2, 4 KOs). WBA #7 Nuzhnenko dominated the bout with his skills and ring experience, while his foe did everything not to let him fight instead of doing anything himself. There were knockdowns but the clash was halted after the fourth stanza due to a severe injury of Kimsanbayev’s right shoulder.
