Having been quickly annihilated by Gennady Golovkin in Monaco this March, ex-WBA 154-pound champ Nobuhiro Ishida (25-9, 10 KOs), 160, celebrated his comeback bout as he easily disposed of apparently overmatched Indonesian Elly Pangaribuan (14-4, 3 KOs), 157.25, with persistent body bombardments at 1:00 of the third round in a scheduled ten on Sunday night in Osaka, Japan.
Inferior at height, speed and skills to Ishida, the Indonesian attempted his whirlwind attack in the opening session, but Ishida, who upset James Kirkland in the first round in 2011, dug a wicked left uppercut into the belly in the opening session. Pangaribuan quickly knelt down for a compulsory eight count. Then, it looked a matter of time. Ishida, in round two, connected with an accurate left to the belly and floored him twice more with the Indonesian hearing the fatal ten. Ishida, on his comeback trail, is anticipating his turn to exchange gloves with Ryota Murata, the gold medalist in the middleweight category in London, in his professional engagement. Murata is to participate in his debut against OPBF middle ruler Akio Shibata on this coming August 25.
