Highly regarded Ukrainian technician Sergey Fedchenko (22-0, 10 KOs) will headline the next K2 East tournament, which will be held at “Lokomotiv” Palace of Sports in Kharkov, Ukraine, on April 22. The opponent for the WBO #12 and the IBF #15 hasn’t been defined yet but Spaniard Hector Moreira (20-1, 12 KOs) seems to be the most probable solution. Fedchenko will put his IBF intercontinental belt at stake in that fight.
Also, Kiev-based Russian junior middleweight Zaurbek Baysangurov (19-1, 14 KOs) will make his ring return after a disappointing loss to American Cornelius Bundrage in the IBF eliminator for the #2 spot last December. His future opponent will be announced later. WBC #12 cruiserweight Vitaly Rusal (23-0, 16 KOs), lightweight Valentin Golovko (7-0, 5 KOs) and welterweight Victor Plotnikov (20-1, 10 KOs) will be showcased in separate contests against yet unidentified opposition.
