Felix Verdejo returns March 22

Undefeated lightweight sensation Felix Verdejo of Puerto Rico poses with three-time world champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico during a press conference with WBC world Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez from Argentina to kickoff their national media tour. Cotto and Martínez will clash in their eagerly-anticipated World Middleweight Championship battle which will take place on Saturday, June 7, at the “Mecca of Boxing,” Madison Square Garden.

Verdejo (10-0, 7 KOs) will return to the ring on March 22 on a “Solo Boxeo Tecate” UniMas show in Caguas, Puerto Rico on a card promoted by Cotto Promotions and Top Rank. Verdejo’s opponent will be Juan Santiago (14-11-1, 8 KOs), of Colorado in a six-round fight. Also on the card: Puerto Rico’s Jorge Melendez (27-3-1, 26 KOs) will battle Colombia’s Richard Gutierrez (27-12-1, 17 KOs) in a 10 round light middleweight bout.
