New York State welterweight champion Daniel Sostre (9-3, 3 KOs) used a late rally to win a unanimous decision over Tom Rainone (11-3, 3 KOs) this past Friday in front of a sellout crowd at the historic Plattdeutsche Park Restaurant in Franklin Square, New York. The Sostre-Rainone contest was the main event of a seven-bout card presented by promoter Bob Duffy of Ring Promotions. Also in action, Irishman James Moore (17-2, 10 KOs) got as good as he gave from Joseph De Los Santos (4-4-3, 2 KOs ) but he did just enough to escape with a six round unanimous decision.
