Fired up Chisora says he’ll KO Fury in one round

Heavyweight Dereck Chisora turned up the heat on Tyson Fury by telling his fierce rival he’ll be knocked out inside a round at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester on July 26. Londoner Chisora, the European Heavyweight Champion, defends his title against Fury with the vacant British title up for grabs and the fight is also a final eliminator for the WBO world heavyweight championship for the right to face reigning king Wladimir Klitschko.

The 29-year-old Cisora was at the talkSPORT studio yesterday on the popular Hawksbee and Jacobs show and said he’s looking to do a job on undefeated Fury, even though the Manchester fighter has already beaten Chisora in July 2011. “I’m not going to cry over spilt milk,” he said. “I’m looking to the future now. He’s going to get knocked out. He said he’s going to knock me out in round five but he’s going to get knocked out in the first round.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
