Flannigan wins Prizefighter tourney

Unbeaten lightweight Terry Flannigan (18-0, 4 KOs) won a split decision over Gary Sykes (22-3, 5 KOs) to win the “Prizefighter” lightweight tournament at the Olympia in Liverpool, UK. Sykes seemed to outwork Flannigan over the last two rounds, but two judges scores it 29-28 for Flannigan, the third card had Sykes ahead 29-28.

Super middleweight Rocky Fielding (12-0, 6 KOs) scored a fifth round KO over Carl Dilks (16-6, 5 KOs) to claim the vacant BBBofC English belt. “Rocky from Stocky” dropped Dilks twice in round five.
