Fletcher defeats McNabney

Australian middleweight Jarrod Fletcher (3-0, 3 KOs) captured the PABA 160 pound title when he stopped Dion McNabney (5-11) in round two at the Brisbane Convention Centre, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Friday. Referee Brad Vocale crowned Fletcher at 1.13 of round two when McNabney was counted out after being dropped by body shot. In main supporting bout Australian junior lightweight champion Greg Eadie (9-0-1, 4 KOs) boxed a technical draw in his bout with Dianver Orcales (3-2-2). Eadie suffered a cut eye due to accidental head clash and doctor ruled it to severe to continue in round two.

Former 2004 Athens Olympian heavyweight Adam Forsyth (6-0) clearly outscored tough Anthony McCracken (11-4) over eight rounds. Scores Brad Vocale 79-72, Paul Tapley 79-72, Adrian Cairns 77-74. McCracken was down in round one.

Hot super middleweight prospect Ged OMahony (2-0) easily outpointed experienced William Hadlow (7-17-4) over six rounds. Scores Cyril Cairns 59-55, Paul Tapley 60-54, Adrian Cairns 60-54.

Former heavyweight 2008 Olympian Brad Pitt (2-0) dropped Atalili Fai (1-5) twice in round two and referee Adrain Cairns called a halt to one sided bout.

Heavyweight Steve Roberts (2-0) outpointed Kyle Brumby (1-1) by scores 40-35,40-35,40-35. Brumby deducted a point in round four for losing mouthguard repeatedly. Poromoter Stephen Deller.
