Foe named for JC Gomez

Former WBC cruiserweight world champion and current heavyweight contender Juan Carlos Gomez (47-2, 36 KOs) will face upset artist Zack Page (21-29-2, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the o2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany. The experienced Page has made a name for himself as a spoiler. In January, Page shocked previously unbeaten German heavyweight hope Sebastian Köber in January, and three weeks ago he derailed the the comeback attempt of Mike Tyson-conqueror Kevin McBride. “Page is an awkward boxer.,” said Gomez’ trainer Artur Grigorian. He’s fully fit, because he boxed at the beginning of the month. I only had two weeks to get Juan prepared, but that should be no problem with Juan’s experience. The most recent sparring sessions were very good.”
