IBO light heavyweight champion, 25-year old Andrzej Fonfara (23-2, 13 KO) had successful surgery of fracture of the base of the middle metacarpal in his right hand. Doctors predicting that “Polish Prince” will be able to resume training in the next 4-5 weeks. Fonfara re-injured his right hand in the second round of his last fight, the IBO championship battle against Tommy Karpency in November of last year.
