Free WBC webcast Saturday will present a live boxing webcast – free of charge – from Chihuahua, Mexico, on Saturday, January 6, at 9:00 P.M. (21:00 hrs) Central Standard Time. It will last approximately two hours, and supporting bouts will be shown in addition to the main event. Everyone is invited to watch. The webcast is not available in Mexico. The fights will be televised in Mexico on TV Cadena 2, Canal 28.

Presented by Promociones del Pueblo, the fight card will feature a 10-round super featherweight main event: former WBC featherweight world champion Cesar “Cobrita” Soto, 60-19-3 with 41 knockouts, of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, versus Eden “Anestesista” Marquez, 17-10-3 with 13 knockouts, of Navajoa, Mexico.

The co-feature is an eight-round super flyweight fight: Victor “El Nene” Zaleta, 13-1 with 7 knockouts, of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, versus Juan Carlos Jacobo, 11-8-1 with 4 knockouts, of Mexico City.

WBC President Jose Sulaiman said today, “The objective and goal of the webcasts are to give opportunities to all those promoters, managers, and boxers that do not have them today.

“There are many great fights that the world does not get to see, and intends to give these fights much more international exposure. We have future webcasts scheduled for fights in Europe, and plan to show fight cards from Africa and Asia, as well.”
