Free WBC webcast tonight will present a championship boxing webcast, free of charge, tonight at 10PM ET/7PM PT (note: the webcast is not available in Mexico). Headlining at Plaza de Toros Calafia in Mexicali, Baja California Norte, is Jorge “Maromerito” Paez Jr., 32-4-1 with 19 knockouts, of Mexicali, will battle Charlie Jose Navarro, 22-5 with 17 knockouts, of Monagas, Venezuela, for the vacant WBC Silver welterweight championship, scheduled for 10 rounds.

Paez, the 24 year-old son of former featherweight star Jorge “Maromero” Paez, has won five fights in a row, which include two 10-round decisions against Omar Chavez, the son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez. Paez Jr., a former WBC Youth and Central American Boxing Federation welterweight champion – as well as former a WBC International Silver super welterweight champion – is currently ranked WBC #13 at 154 pounds.

Navarro, 33 years old, is 4-1 in his last five fights, with all four wins coming by knockout.

Headlining at Chihuahua University in Chihuahua, Mexico, Mexican welterweight champion (FECOMBOX) Mario Lozano, 23-3 with 19 knockouts, of Chihuahua, will make his first title defense against Ramon Alvarez, 14-3-2 with 7 knockouts, of Guadalajara, scheduled for 12 rounds.

Lozada has won five fights in a row, four by knockout, which include winning the Mexican title in September, 2011. Alvarez is undefeated in his last eight fights – 7-0-1.

The fights will be televised live in Mexico beginning at at 9:00 P.M. (21:00 hrs) Central Time on Cadena Tres-Channel 28, followed by a telecast on TV Azteca.
