Heavyweight Francesco Pianeta (29-1-1, 16 KOs) successfully returned on Friday night from his world title challenge loss to world champion Wladimir Klitschko last May. Pianeta scored an explosive second round TKO over previously unbeaten Robert Teuber (8-1, 7 KOs) in a bout for the German International belt at the Brandenburg Halle in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany. Pianeta mercilessly teed off on Teuber in round two and Teuber’s corner, seeing their fighter was completely outclassed, threw in the towel! Time was 1:43.

WBO/WIBF/WBF female super featherweight champion Ramona Kühne (21-1, 7 KOs) punished Renata Dömsödi (11-4, 5 KOs) until the bout wass waved off in round six. It was Kühne’s second win over Dömsödi.

WBO/WBF female middleweight champion Christina Hammer (16-0, 7 KOs) annihilated Carmen Garcia (10-3, 5 KOs) in the first round. Referee Ingo Barabbas jumped into to save Garcia from further punishment.

Unbeaten German heavyweight champion Michael Wallisch (11-0, 7 KOs) won a lackluster ten round unanimous decision the much smaller Lars Buchholz (24-7, 17 KOs). Scores were 97-93, 100-90, 98-92.

Cruiserweight Kai Kurzawa (32-4, 23 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Marcel Gottschalk (9-6-2, 7 KOs) to claim the vacant German domestic belt. Workmanlike performance for Kurzawa. Scores were 99-91, 100-90, 98-92.

German heavyweight prospect Tom Schwarz (3-0, 2 KOs) was forced to go the four round distance for the first time against trialhorse Edgars Kalnars (24-27, 15 KOs). Scores were 40-36 on all three cards. Schwarz got the win, but couldn’t get the China-chinned Kalnars out of there early.

Jr welterweight Felix Lamm (7-1, 3 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over Jevgenijs Fjodorovs (9-43-6, 4 KOs). Scores were 60-54 across the board.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
