Frenkel plans to enjoy UK

European cruiserweight title contender Alexander Frenkel wants to combine a KO win over Enzo Maccarinelli with some sightseeing! The unbeaten 25-year-old will tackle Big Mac on September 18 at the LG Arena, Birmingham. And not only is he intent on taking the title back to Germany, but he plans to take in a few of the UK’s hottest tourist destinations as well.

Born in the Ukraine, Frenkel has never been to the UK before, and is relishing the opportunity of appearing on Frank Warren’s Magnificent Seven show – in more ways than one.

Frenkel is also not bothered by the fact he is facing former WBO cruiserweight champion Maccarinelli. “I donĀ“t care about the name of my opponent – all that matters to me is the title that is on the line,” he said. “For me every fight is the most important fight of my career.

“I have never been to England before so I am really keen to go there to win my fight and see a bit of the country. I am looking forward to it.”
