Veteran heavyweight Fres “Fast Fres” Oquendo (34-7, 22 KOs) will be headlining a card on August 18 at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, against an opponent to be named in defense of his WBA Fedelatin belt. The WBA #14 ranked Oquendo, 39, has lost seven times but five of his losses have been controversial decisions. The Chicago-based Puerto Rican has a boxing academy where he promotes the sport as a vehicle to combat drugs, violence and dropping out of school.
