Cuba born Damian Frias (16-1, 7KOs) and Freddy Hernandez of Mexico (25-1, 18 KOs) will square off October 23rd in Laredo,Texas. The bout will be a ten round main event aired on Showtime’s ground-breaking ShoBox: The New Generation series. Frias is ranked #14 in the world by the WBC and will look to successfully defend his WBC Latino welterweight title. Frias enters the bout on a twelve fight win streak while Hernandez is unbeaten in his last nine bouts. Hernandez’ promoter Gary Shaw Productions will promote the event.
