In match two of SHOWTIME’s “Super Six World Boxing Classic” undefeated WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-0, 20 KOs) won a split decision over previously unbeaten Andre Dirrell (18-1, 13 KOs) on Saturday night at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham, England. Dirrell was quick enough to negate much of Froch’s aggressions with speed, ring movement and holding. Both fighters landed punches, with most of Froch’s connects coming during clinches. Dirrell had a point deducted for holding in round ten. In the end, Froch prevailed 115-112 on two cards, while Dirrell was up 114-113 on the third card.
